Loyd M. Fisher, 77, of Knoxville, Ill. and formerly of Eastman, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022 at the Knoxville County Nursing Home in Knoxville. 

He was born on Nov. 27, 1944, in Prairie du Chien, the son of Robert and Lauretta (Klema) Fisher. Loyd was a graduate of Seneca High School. He married Judy Payne on June 4, 1966. Loyd was a proud farmer and raised many animals. He had a love and passion for tractors and working on anything mechanical. Loyd was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. He spent many years as a manager in the oil industry. 

Loyd is survived by his children, Brian and Peggy Fisher, and Heidi (Robert) Johnson; five grandchildren, Ian, Miles, and Julia Johnson, Kile and Kade Fisher; a sister, Diane (Rolland) Propst; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Julie; a brother, Robert; and an infant sister.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 25, at 11 a.m. at the Salem United Methodist Church, with Pastor Lynn Schreck officiating, burial in National Cemetery, both in Eastman. Friends may call the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. The Garrity Funeral Home, of Prairie du Chien, is assisting the family.
