South Winn defeats Central golfers

South Winneshiek defeated both the Central boys and girls golf teams in a meet at the Silver Springs Golf Course on April 21. 

 

The boys lost 192-246, with Brock Eglseder leading the Warriors with a final round score of 57, putting him in sixth place. Jordan Helgerson shot a 60 to place eighth, and Keaton Klingman was ninth with a 63. Marcus Evans shot a 66 to place 10th. 

 

The Central girls lost 256-288. Alexis Fettkether led the team with a second place finish, shooting a 61 that was just four strokes off the match winner. Haley Frieden tied for fourth with a 66, while Jillian Finley shot an 80 to place ninth and Maddie Schmidt shot an 81 for 10th place. 

 

The Warrior golfers return to the course on April 25, against Postville, at the Tri City Golf and Country Club. They’ll host Turkey Valley on April 28.
