Charlotte Jane Reimer passed at home surrounded in love among her family on Saturday, March 19, 2022.

Visitation and funeral services were Saturday, March 26, at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Garnavillo.

Burial was in the Garnavillo City Cemetery.

Charlotte was born on April 25, 1944, in McGregor to Oliver and Mabel (Werger) Davis. She was baptized at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Farmersburg on June 25, 1944, and later confirmed into the faith at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Garnavillo.

She received her education through the Hope Country School, later graduating from Garnavillo Schools with the Class of 1961. Charlotte worked at Monona Wire and 3M, while always working on the home farm. She remained a member of St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church throughout her life, participating on many committees, including Ladies Aid and as a Sunday School teacher for over 20 years. She enjoyed her horses, farm animals and pets (Coco), along with embroidery, making baby blankets and spending time with her family.

Charlotte had three children from her first marriage, Sandy, Bruce and Brenda. On April 13, 1985, Charlotte was united in marriage with Verdus Reimer at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Garnavillo.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Verdus; her children, Sandy (Donald) Curran of Sand Springs, Bruce Klinkenberg (girlfriend Jean) of Grimes, and Brenda (Thomas) Murray of Garnavillo; grandchildren, Timothy Curran, Amber (Caleb) Thompson, Trisha Curran, Shawn (Bradleigh) Klinkenberg, Stephanie Klinkenberg, Brianna (Joe) Vorwald, Joseph Murray and Brett Murray; great-granddaughter Parker Klinkenberg; sister, Ruth Bierbaum of West Des Moines; sister-in-law, Bea Davis of Garnavillo; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; in-laws, Milton and Hannah Reimer; brother, Gerald Davis, and another brother in infancy.
