PdC-F gymnastics team competes in Viroqua

Prairie du Chien-Fennimore Gymnastics traveled to Viroqua Tuesday for a nonconference dual meet. The girls finished second with a team score of 124.025, a season best, and Viroqua had a score of 130.40.
The team started out a little rocky on the uneven bars with several falls and missed connections. Madilyn Fisher placed third with a score of 7.95.
The team shook it off and continued on to the vault. This is one of the team’s stronger events. Madilyn Fisher placed second with a score of 8.7 and Alex Crary was fourth with a 7.8.
After the vault, the team competed on their strongest event, the floor exercise. Madilyn Fisher placed third with a season best of 9.0. Alyssa Shoepp was fourth with a score of 8.875, also a season best. Avery Thompson also had a season best score of 8.025.
The team finished up the meet on the balance beam. Madilyn Fisher finished in third place with a score of 8.25 with a fall and Alyssa Schoepp was fourth with a score of 8.225, also with a fall.
Madilyn Fisher also finished second in the all around with a score of 33.9.
The PDC-Fennimore team will compete again on Monday, Jan. 17 in Prairie du Chien against Dodgeville-Mineral Point.
