Lady Hawks dominate Westby

The Prairie du Chien girls’ basketball team hosted Westby on Dec. 21.

With a 10-day break between games, the Hawks came out hungry with a 14-4 run. They kept the momentum going into the half 42-15 while pulling down 13 offensive boards in the first half.

In the second half, the Lady Hawks continued with the lead and won the game 58-33.

The Hawks were led in scoring by Lily Krahn with 27 points, Teagan Radloff with 12 points, 11 rebounds (she scores her second double double of the season), Ashlyn Knapp 11 points, Makenna Forde 4 points, and Allison Kennedy and Shayla Straka with 2 points each.

The Hawks will travel to Waunakee on Dec. 28-29 for the AB Nicholas Tournament.They will play Waunakee in the first game and then the winner of Monona Grove and Eau Claire Memorial.
