Two area communities are hosting free Community Thanksgiving Dinners on Thursday, Nov. 25.

The Prairie du Chien offering will include an 11 a.m. to noon delivery for shut-ins, sponsored by the Apostolic Lighthouse Church. Meal pickup can also be arranged at the church, located at 1300 S. Marquette Rd., between noon and 1 p.m. Call (608) 306-0469 for delivery. 

In Elkader, St. Joseph Catholic Church will host its dinner at noon in the St. Joseph Parish Hall. People are invited to come together and give thanks for God’s many blessings and for the opportunity to share a warm meal in Christian fellowship on this special day.

Reservations are not required, but are appreciated, and can be made by calling the parish at (563) 245-2548 or Courtney Scherf at (563) 880-0863.
