Vehicle stolen near Farmbersburg
On Oct. 30, at 8:53 a.m., the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a stolen vehicle near Farmersburg. The eye witness identified a red car associated with the theft, and both vehicles were last seen driving south on Highway 13. Deputies located the vehicles on Highway 13, near 230th Street, and attempted to stop the vehicles. The drivers of both vehicles fled, exceeding speeds of 85 MPH. The driver of the stolen vehicle fled to Elkader, where he abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. The driver of the red car was pursued and ultimately stopped east of Strawberry Point, on Crystal Road.
The suspects were identified as Quintin Vincent Green, 31, of Oneida, Wis., and Nancy Marie Moreno, 37, of Sheboygan, Wis. Several felony and misdemeanor charges will be filed following the completion of the investigation.
The Clayton County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Strawberry Point Police Department, Iowa State Patrol, Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa DNR, Delaware County Sheriff’s Office and Elkader Police Department.
