Henry Willard Geick, 95, of Guttenberg, died Thursday, Sept. 9, 2021, at his home.

No services will be held. Arrangements were handled by Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg.

Henry was born on June 20, 1926, on the family farm near Millville, the son of William and Loretta (Troester) Geick.

Henry attended the Friedlein Country School in Millville. On May 17, 1949, Henry was united in marriage with Betty Lou Heins at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Guttenberg, and this union blessed the couple with seven children. Over the years Henry worked for Wink Borret cream route. He cut logs for Borrett, Pierce, Wright Tree Service and Livingston Lumber. Henry worked for John Deere and did some farming as well. Henry enjoyed riding his Harley with his wife, Betty, on the back along with close friend, Gary Nolden and others from Sauk City since 1985. Henry was a gifted gardener and did a great deal of canning produce with his wife and later with his daughter, Judy. Henry took pride in maintaining his yard with his John Deere and enjoyed spending time petting his cat, Rascal. Henry was a kind and gentle man. He enjoyed telling stories when he was growing up and when he met his wife, Betty. Henry was a longtime volunteer for the American Red Cross where he helped out many people with his special blood. Over the years Henry gave gallons of blood and eventually made a clock out of all his blood donation pins that he earned, since he was a very talented wood worker. Henry also enjoyed playing cards while eating Cheerios and drinking a Mt. Dew.

Henry is survived by his seven children, Joan (Juan) Cortes, Nancy (Keith) Welse, Bonnie Sue (Rolf) Linden, Connie Onken, Rose Embree, Judy (Jeff Portwine) Geick and Gary (Lisa) Geick; grandchildren, Terry (Susanna) Gibson, Teresa Gibson, Christina (Kelly Seitz) Onken, Allison (Matt) Miron, Alexander (Angel) Embree, Dana (Wes) Krambeer, Wyatt, Jay, Martyn and Bryce Geick; seven great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Lavonne (Glen) Mueller, Shirley Sutton, Rose Marie Duwe, Gerene (William) Morarend and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
