Warriors winless at tournament

The Central Warriors volleyball team lost all four matches at the Jesup Tournament this past weekend, bringing their season record to 3-14. 

 

In the first match against the host J-Hawks, the Warriors were defeated in straight sets, 21-7 and 21-8. 

 

They next took on West Central, losing both sets, 21-16 and 21-11. 

 

In the third match of the tournament, Central lost 2-1 against South Winneshiek. The Warriors won the second set 21-18, but South Winn took the first 21-8 and the third 15-8 to win the match. 

 

In the final game, the Warriors faced North Linn, falling in straight sets, 21-13 and 21-8. 

 

Next, the Warriors are scheduled to play 4-8 North Fayette Valley on Thursday, Sept. 16. The team will then head to the Waukon Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 18.
