The MFL MarMac volleyball team picked up its first win last week, defeating Turkey Valley in game two of an Aug. 31 home triangular.

 

The Bulldogs beat the Trojans 25-19 in the first set, then outlasted them 25-23 in the second.

 

The victory was a good rebound from MFL MarMac’s first game, a straight set loss to New Hampton. The Chickasaws cruised to a 25-10 total in the first set, but the Bulldogs cut it close in the second, narrowly falling 25-21.

 

No stats were available from either game.

 

This week, the Bulldogs (1-2) will play just once, traveling to Maquoketa Valley (2-1) on Tuesday, Sept. 7.
