Central volleyball gets first wins

The Central volleyball team took part in the Midland Tournament this past Saturday, going 2-3 in their matches and picking up their first wins of the season. 

 

In the first game, the Warriors dropped both sets to North Cedar, 21-11 and 21-14. They then took on West Central, losing both set by scores of 21-18 and 21-12. In the next game, Central played Cascade, losing in straight sets, 22-20 and 21-10. 

 

The Warriors won their first matches of the season after that, defeating Midland in straight sets, 21-17 and 21-18. The Warriors capped off the tournament by defeating Lone Tree in straight sets, 21-13 and 21-17. 

 

No stats were available for the games. 

 

The 2-11 Warriors will next see action on Sept. 11 at the Jesup Tournament.
