Heaven gained an Angel and a great storyteller on Feb. 2, 2021, when Casey Miller, from Sun City, Calif., formerly of Prairie du Chien, became another casualty of Covid–19. He was many things to so many people, and touched hearts wherever he traveled through life.

Casey was born on May 21, 1953, in Santa Monica, Calif. He was the second of five children born to Dr. John A. Miller, DPM and Jacqueline L. (Foley) Miller. After graduating from high school, he attended UW-LaCrosse for Mass Communications. His travels took him to Canyon Lake, Calif., to escape the harsh winters of Wisconsin, and yes he still had that “coat.”

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles. Casey is survived by siblings, Michele “Mitch” (Bruce Cecka), of Appleton, Dan of McGregor, Iowa, Michael and Kathleen “Toots” in California; four nieces, Amy Cecka of Denver Colo., Erin Cecka (Willa, great niece) of Menasha, Ciara (Trevor Hanson) of Milwaukee, and Sophia Miller of Prairie du Chien; and one nephew, Ian Miller, of Prairie du Chien.

A private memorial will be held in California sometime in early 2022.
