Cornelius “Kay” Garvey, 98, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 14, 2021.

Kay resided in Wisconsin for most of his life, operating Sunny Crest Farm Dairy Farm alongside his loving wife Patricia, who preceded him in death earlier this year.

Kay was loved by many in the community in which he was raised. He volunteered as a firefighter, was an avid hunter, and was always ready for a card game. But his greatest gift was making people laugh. As his family fondly remembers, everyone was fair game when it came to teasing from Kay.

Also preceding him in death were his parents, Francis and Elizabeth Garvey; siblings, Father Francis Garvey, Bernard Garvey, Thomas Garvey, twin sister Mary Tafelski, Peggy Nedzi, Sister Stephana Garvey and Lawrence Garvey.

Kay is survived by his daughter, Mary (Rick) Dison; grandchildren, Amy (Tony) Borghese and Tim (Anne) Dison; great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Zachary, Jensen and Grayson; as well as many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family received friends on Tuesday, July 20, at Schoedinger North in Columbus, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial was Wednesday, July 21, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Worthington, Ohio. Burial followed at Resurrection Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Eastman Fire Department, P.O. Box 6, Eastman, WI 54626.
