Seneca softball team heading to State Tournament

The #2 Seneca High School softball team beat #2 Independence-Gilmanton by a score of 3-2 in a Division 5 Sectional Final in Bangor on June 23 to earn a trip to the WIAA State Tournament at UW-Green Bay on June 28. 

Seneca tied for the Ridge and Valley Conference championship with De Soto with a 12-2 record. Entering the State Tournament, Seneca has a 17-5 record overall.

At the State Tournament, #4 Seneca (17-5) will face #1 Oakfield (23-2) in a semifinal at 9 a.m.

In the other semifinal, #2 Pacelli (25-3) will take on #3 Hurley (23-5) at 11 a.m.

The Division 5 Championship game will begin on June 28 at 4 p.m.
