Luana man killed in one-vehicle crash

A Luana man was killed in a one-vehicle accident near Monona on Feb. 27. The crash occurred just before 7:30 a.m., at the intersection of County Road B56 and 145th Street. 

 

According to a report from the Iowa State Patrol, a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee operated by Keary J. Keehner, 50, was traveling westbound on 145th Street when the driver lost control and the vehicle rolled on the roadway. Keehner, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle, which came to rest on its passenger side.

 

The Iowa State Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office, Monona Fire Department and MFL EMS.
