Prairie boys advance to Regional semifinal
Prairie du Chien traveled to Lancaster for their first Regional playoff game on Tuesday night. The game proved to be quite a tough matchup when Lancaster took an early lead against the Hawks going on an 8-0 run to start. Prairie du Chien wasn’t ready to give up though and ended the half up by 6.
The second half was the true test for Prairie when Lancaster came within one point of The Hawks. Prairie du Chien maintained their lead and ended up with the victory over Lancaster with a score of 59-55. Prairie du Chien will advance in the Regional playoffs and play New Glarus on Friday, Feb. 19 at New Glarus.
Scorers for Prairie du Chien were: Max Amundson and Owen Oldenburg with 18 points each, Justice Olmstead had 9, Aden McCluskey had 6, Colton Thompson with 5, and Quintin Scott had 3.
