Metal stolen, man arrested for theft, trespassing, meth
On Wednesday, April 1, at 8:50 a.m., the Prairie du Chien Police Department received a call from Prairie Sand and Gravel reporting a suspicious person and vehicle on their property. They were able to provide a vehicle description and officers responded to the area.
Officers were able to locate the suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was identified as Devon Bubolz, 30, Pardeeville, Wis. During the course of the traffic stop, it was determined that Bubolz had stolen items of scrap metal and copper from businesses and Bubolz was found to be under the influence of methamphetamine.
Bubolz was arrested on suspicion of operating a motor vehicle with a restricted controlled substance (second offense), theft and trespassing.
