Man arrested in meth bust
On Monday, March 30, a Prairie du Chien Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for equipment violations in the 200 block of North Marquette Road.
During the course of the traffic stop, it was determined that the driver was operating the vehicle with a revoked driver’s license. Field sobriety tests also showed the driver was suspected to be under the influence of methamphetamine. A subsequent search revealed methamphetamine and a pipe used to smoke methamphetamine.
The driver, Cory Starnes, 32, Boscobel, was arrested on suspicion of operating a motor vehicle while revoked, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance (third offense), possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia, felony bail jumping and misdemeanor bail jumping.
