Deborah “Deb” Sue Morehouse, of Guttenberg, (formerly of Manchester) passed away on Friday, Nov. 1, 2019, at Guttenberg Municipal Hospital in Guttenberg. 

Memorial services will be Saturday, Nov. 9, at 10 a.m. at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester, conducted by Reverend Mary Green. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home.

Inurnment will be at Fairvew Cemetery, Earlville.

Deb was born on Sept. 28, 1951, in Manchester, the daughter of Clyde and Doris (Hartman) Gibbs. Deb attended Maquoketa Valley School.

Deb was united in marriage to Edward Morehouse on June 19, 2003. Together they lived in Guttenberg. Deb was employed as a factory worker, café work, and in home care taker. Her hobbies was reading books, shooting pool, crossword puzzles, watching her favorite tv shows, and in her younger years hanging out at The Barn.

Survivors include her husband, Edward Morehouse of Guttenberg; two children, John (Tracey) Thompson and Lorenza Heiter all of Marion; three grandchildren, MeShell Thompson, Jersey Heiter, and Shirley Bentley; one great-grandchild on the way, Cashew; and six siblings, Gary (Peggy) Gibbs of Des Moines, Terry (Linda) Gibbs of Muscatine, Diane Welte of Bettendorf, Kent Gibbs of Delhi, Lana (Roger) Young of Delhi, and Laurie Becker of Delhi.

Deb was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Bev Skaja, and daughter, MeShell Rae Noggle.
