Essie V. Kittoe, 96, of Bagley, formerly of Cuba City, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2019, at Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George, UT. 

Essie was born on Nov. 18, 1922, to Harry and Ida (Wick) Segerstrom in Alma. 

She married James W. Kittoe on Feb. 12, 1942, in Hazel Green. Jim and Essie lived in Cuba City and the Platteville area until they moved to Bagley. Essie enjoyed collecting bells and pig figurines, was an avid card player, especially with her friends on ‘Ladies Day,’ scratch off lotto tickets and trips to the casino. She was a big Green Bay Packer and Wisconsin Badger fan, loved trips in the motorhome to Arizona, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Essie is survived by three children, Jane (Russ) Swanson of Argyle, James (Angela) Kittoe of Mesquite, Nev. and Glenda (Bob) Petereit of Lehi, Utah; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; along with nieces and nephews.

 She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim (July 1, 1996); a daughter, Mary (Jim) Peterson; four brothers and 1 sister. 

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 10, at Haudenshield Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Cuba City, with Pastor Mary Ann Floerke officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Cuba City. Friends may call on Monday, June 10 from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
