Florence E. Krachey, 87, of Prairie du Chien, passed away Thursday, May 10, at Orchard Manor in Lancaster.

 

She was born April 17, 1931, the daughter of Fred and Alice (Cooley) White. She was married to Robert Horsfall who preceded her in death. She married Frank Krachey on Oct. 6, 1973, and he later preceded her in death on July 4, 1990. She loved playing cards and was an avid euchre player. 

 

She is survived by her sons, Robert (Cynthia Riding) Horsfall Jr., of Blue Ridge, Ga., Dennis (Shirley) Horsfall, of Charleston, S.C., Douglas (Sharon) Horsfall, of Lake Villa, Ill., Kevin (Donna Long) Horsfall, of Patch Grove; her brothers, Virgil (Beverly) and Roger (Marge) White, both of Fennimore; her sisters, Doris (Art) Fremont, of Mt. Hope, and Ruth (Wally) Brown, of Prairie du Chien; sister-in-law Carolyn White Knapp of Mt. Hope; nine grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and five  great great grandchildren. 

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; daughter Evelyn Ross; daughter-in-law Melody Horsfall; a brother Harold White; and a sister Marilyn Crubagh.

 

A memorial service will be Tuesday, May 15, at 1 p.m., at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor Mel Wild officiating, with inurnment in the Evergreen Cemetery both in Prairie du Chien.
