Angela Myers Slezak passed away Wednesday, April 25, at Gundersen Hospital in La Crosse after a brief illness. 

 

She was born in Milwaukee to David and Geri Myers Oct. 19, 1965. The family moved to Crawford County, in the Seneca area, in 1971. After graduation, she moved to North Carolina for a few years, then to Bettendorf, Iowa. There she went to school to be a Chiropractor Assistant. She was always the happiest taking care of children and ran a daycare in Belvidere, Ill. She also enjoyed helping the elderly and years later worked in La Crosse with those that needed home health care. 

 

She is survived by sons Tyler (Amanda) Dudenbostel, Reuben Dudenbostel, Adam Slezak and Jason Slezak. She is also survived by her parents Geri (Frank) Kozelka and David (Linda) Myers; siblings Trudy (Rob) Joy, Todd (Susie) Myers, Ryan (Kay) Myers; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

 

According to Angela’s wishes, a private family memorial service will be at the Garrity Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien.
