Vets, staff donate to new facility
The veterinarians and staff at Elkader and Strawberry Point Veterinary Clinic have donated $5,000 to the new Swine and Sheep Complex at the Clayton County Fairgrounds.
“We view this as an investment in the youth of this county and to their futures in agriculture and as productive citizens,” said Ryan Royer DVM, co-owner of the clinics.
Veterinarians from this clinic have volunteered services to the Clayton County Fair for many decades and provide veterinary services to farm and town families that participate in 4-H and FFAin Clayton County. Michelle Christianson DVM, also co-owner of the veterinary clinics, shared that through her experiences in 4-H and FFA she developed interests that drove her to pursue a professional career in animal agriculture as well as establishing friendships that have lasted into adulthood.
Dr. Royer and Christianson and the staff at Elkader and Strawberry Point Veterinary Clinic are excited to see the progress made on this facility and look forward to many more years of involvement with the Clayton County Fair.
