On Tuesday, the River Ridge volleyball team took on undefeated Benton on River Ridge’s home court.
River Ridge won in five sets, 25-22, 22-25, 25-23, 18-25 and 15-8. It was a battle to the end with lots of great spiking, digs, and blocks.
“It came down to the fact that we made fewer mistakes,” said River Ridge Coach Dianne Langmeier. “We missed only three serves and they missed about 12.”

It was a very tough match as Emma Lawrence of Benton had 27 kills and 33 digs. There were lots of great volleys between the two teams.
“We feel very fortunate to get out of that game with a win,” said Langmeier. “The girls really played with heart and never gave up. We are now 11-0 overall.”
