Mary Leann Eischeid
Mary Leann Eischeid, 71, of Clayton, died Sunday, June 11, 2017.
Visitation was Thursday, June 15, at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Garnavillo and one hour before service at the church.
Funeral services were Friday, June 16, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Garnavillo.
Interment was at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Lawler, on Saturday, June 17.
Leann was born on April 6, 1946, in New Hampton, the daughter of Leo and Anna Connor.
Leann graduated from Turkey Valley in 1964 and later received her bachelor’s degree. She taught elementary school at Turkey Valley for 39 years. On Oct. 23, 1971, Leann was united in marriage with Michael Eischeid at St. Mary’s Church in New Hampton. While Leann taught school, she also helped her husband run the Clayton Lighthouse restaurant in Clayton for over 30 years.
Those left to cherish her memory are Leann’s cousin John McEnaney and his children, Laura and Leann’s Godson, John Leo McEnaney; nieces, Roxanne Garretson and Katy Zeltlinger; nephews, Mark (Carol) Eischeid, John Eischeid, Greg (Cynthia) Eischeid; the Brandel grandchildren and great-grandchildren; longtime companion, Tyler Brandel, and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Michael in 2002.
