Eldon John Kerkhoff, 99, of Guttenberg, formerly of Dyersville, died Saturday, June 4, 2016, at Guttenberg Care Center, Guttenberg.

Visitation was Thursday, June 9, at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville.

Funeral services were Thursday, June 9, at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, conducted by Rev. Dennis Quint.

Burial was in the SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Petersburg.

Eldon was born June 21, 1916, at Petersburg, the son of Alphonse and Susan (Grawe) Kerkhoff.

Survivors include his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Amanda (Edwin) Schmidt, Modesta (Edmund) Overmann and Rita (Arnold and Clarence) Gassmann.
