Two-vehicle accident on Highway 18 bridge

On Wednesday, May 25, at 2:45 p.m., the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department was notified of two-vehicle accident in Bridgeport Township on the east span of the Highway 18 Mississippi River Bridge.

A westbound 2012 Chrysler owned and operated by Tammy Hendrix, 48, McGregor, was almost at a stop when it was struck from behind by a westbound 2000 Chevrolet S10 owned by William Zeeh and operated by Andrew Zeeh, 19, McGregor.

There were no injuries. Both vehicles had moderate damage and were driven from the scene. Due to area road construction, traffic was backed up from the west span onto the east span.

Zeeh was issued a citation for inattentive driving.
