Carol A. Wilkinson
Carol A. Wilkinson, 72, of Dubuque passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at home surrounded by her family.
Visitation was Saturday, April 23, at Leonard Funeral Home and Crematory, Dubuque.
A celebration of life followed at the Moracco Supper Club.
Carol was born on July 30, 1943, in Mason City, the daughter of Harold and Ella Bess (Saylor) Murray. After attending Guttenberg High School she resided in Guttenberg for many years where she raised her three daughters with her first husband, Jerome Schroeder.
She later married Clark Wilkinson on Dec. 21, 1991, in Guttenberg.
She was a member of Eastern Star Group and St. John's Lutheran Church.
She enjoyed her grandchildrens activities and sporting events; she loved to spend time with her three girls and have “girls day.” She was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, fishing and many trips with her husband to Florida and Lake Okoboji.
She is survived by her husband, Clark; three daughters, Brenda (Scott) Clefisch of Dubuque, Lisa Bova of Lisbon and Angie (Greg) Misek of Wesley Chapel, Fla.; step-sons, Craig Wilkinson of North Liberty, Nic (special friend, Cari Scheetz) Wilkinson of North Liberty; five grandchildren, Zach and Jake Clefisch, Derek Bova, McKenzie and Andrew Wilkinson; her sister, Charlene (Kay) Michael of Roseville, Calif., and their children, Stacy and Craig.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Charles, in infancy.
In lieu of flowers a Carol Wilkinson memorial fund has been established.
