Planning begins for Rock 'n' Roll on the River

Planning is underway for the Rock 'n' Roll on the River show to be held Saturday, April 9, at Lakeside Ballroom in Guttenberg.

The event is sponsored by the MidAmerica Music Association (MAMA)  in cooperation with the River Park Cruisers, Lakeside Ballroom and Guttenberg Chamber of Commerce.

MAMA organizers Al Huntzinger and Dick Cole were in Guttenberg recently to announce this year's entertainment line-up and to meet with GCC director Emily Moser and other local sponsors. 

This year's show will feature the Midwest Rock N Soul Revue, a soul performance by Maurice Walker-Jule, an Elvis tribute by Eddie Simpson, local favorites Backwater and special guest Carl Thompson.
