Hosts (from left) Tom Nelson, Natalie Stram, Dan Moris and Tom Stram proudly stand in front of the final tally from Saturday night’s annual fundraiser for heart and cancer research. In addition to the $43,732 raised—which will increase some as donations continue for a while—the telethon has surpassed the $800,000 lifetime mark. (Photos by Randy Paske)
Autumn Kivi (left) and Chloe Lorenz performed a beautiful duet on the talent show’s stage, aka the Bluff View cafeteria.
Longtime Eagle Club member and one of the Eagles Heart and Cancer Telethon’s founders, Paul White spoke near the end of this year’s event.
Young Cameron Minella (right) and Tom Nelson point to Cameron’s name on the Tree of Hope, which was introduced at this year’s Eagles Heart and Cancer Telethon for the first time as a way to recognize survivors of cancer and heart issues. Cameron, the nephew of Todd Crotty, Prairie du Chien, battles a heart condition and took some time, while visiting, to talk about his story. The 41st annual telethon was broadcast live Saturday night from Bluff View School.
Kathy Atkins (left) and Ruth Taylor (along with Cathie Nelson) organized and tweaked the lineup throughout the evening.
