Beverly A. Davis, 78, of North Buena Vista, and formerly of Hudson, died Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at her residence surrounded by her family.

Visitation was Friday, June 5, at Kramer Funeral Home in Holy Cross.

A memorial service and inurnment will be conducted at a later date.

Beverly was born Jan. 22, 1937, in Waterloo, the daughter of Tony and Louise (Dean) Jochumsen. She married Earl Davis on March 5, 1955, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Together they lived in Waterloo for 10 years and bought an acreage near Hudson where they resided until 1998, when they retired to North Buena Vista. During their retirement they operated JD’s Landing until her health prohibited.

Her greatest passion was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to cook and everyone who visited knew where the candy stash was, if it wasn’t offered upon their arrival. She loved to play cards, go to casinos when she was able, or even play scratch-off lottery tickets. She also liked to go fishing, put together puzzles and watch the birds.

Survivors include her husband, Earl; five children, Sue Davis and Clay of Alexander, Jim (Sue) Davis of North Buena Vista, Peg (Suntan) King of Garrison, Mary King and special friend, Garth of North Buena Vista, Mike (Melissa) Davis of Vinton; grandchildren: Heath (Karla) Davis, Heidi Davis, Adam (Aime Hennegan) King, Aaron and Andrew King, Blake King, Bryce King, Holly (Adam) Greif, and Tyler Davis; 10 great-grandchildren; her brother, Tony (Brenda) Jochumsen of Hudson, and their sons, Jason and Gary Jochumsen; two sisters-in-law, Betty Theisen of Cole Camp, Mo., and her seven children, and Florence Eddy of Texas; two brothers-in-law, Chuck Willett and Chauncy Craig.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Paige Davis; a great-grandson, Garrison Davis; two brothers-in-law, James Theisen and Loren Eddy; two sisters-in-law, Ethel Willett and Beverly Craig, and a niece, Rosemary Cooley.
