Prairie du Chien’s Brandon Check gets set to fire a pitch to the Platteville batter on a dark and overcast Thursday afternoon.

Prairie du Chien blanked visiting Platteville 10-0 in five innings on a drizzly afternoon Thursday in an SWC baseball game under a threatening sky and occasional thunder.
The Blackhawks scored 3 runs in the bottom of the first inning, 3 in the second and 4 in the fifth en route to the victory.
Prairie scored 10 runs on 9 hits and committed 0 errors. Platteville had 5 hits and committed 1 error.
Peyton Hall struck out none and walked none in 3 innings to pick up the win. Brandon Check fanned 1 and walked none in 2 innings.
Brian McNett was 3x4 at the plate for the Blackhawks. Brogan Potter was 2x3. Dylan Yeomans was 2x4 with a triple.
