Lela Doris Koth, 90, passed away April 23, at Brookdale Senior Living Center, in Mc-
Kinney Texas.

Lela Doris Wogahn was born on Dec. 10, 1924, in Aurelia, Iowa, the daughter of Henry (Ed) and Doretta (Hasenwinkel) Wogahn. Lela was baptized and confirmed at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Aurelia. She attended school in Aurelia and after graduation, worked in Cherokee, Iowa.

Lela was united in marriage to Raymond Koth on June 13, 1947 at Galva, Iowa. They farmed in the Galva area until Raymond’s death in 1982. At that time, Lela moved to Storm Lake, Iowa. She was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church, the Ladies’ Aid, and was very active in the church quilting group. Lela moved to Prairie du Chien, in 2002. She moved to McKinney, Texas in 2013.

Survivors include her children Al R. (Janice) Koth of Poquoson, Va., Dianne (Frank) Steele of Allen, Texas; daughter-in-law Diane Koth of Prairie du Chien; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters Verona Koth and Caroline Stellato; and brother Wilbur Wogahn; and extended family and friends.

Lela was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; her son, Darrel; her parents; a sister, Ruth Sparks; brother, Paul Wogahn; and two sisters-in-law, Berneita Wogahn and Nancy Wogahn.

Funeral services will be held at St. John Lutheran Church in Galva, Iowa at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 2. Visitation will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake, Friday, May 1.
