Agnes Patricia Schure, 102, of Guttenberg, died Sunday, March 22, 2015, at the Guttenberg Care Center.

Visitation was one hour before services at the church.

Funeral services were Wednesday, March 25, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Guttenberg.

Interment will be at Guttenberg City Cemetery.

Arrangements were handled by Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg.

Agnes was born on July 31, 1912, in Dickinson, N.D., the daughter of George and Margaret (Joyce) Hamilton.

On July 26, 1934, Agnes was united in marriage with Fred J. Schure in Belvidere, Ill. Fred and Agnes originally lived in Oelwein and then built their home in Guttenberg, so they could fish on Fred’s days off. They eventually moved to Guttenberg and their home was always open for family and friends who visited them. Agnes worked for many years at the Guttenberg Meal Site and was very involved in activities at her church. After church on Sunday, Agnes would drive and she and her widow friends would all go out to eat. 

Agnes is survived by nieces, nephews and many, many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, and siblings, Helen Schmitt, Monica Schneider, Joan Haury, Betty Broeker, Felix Fellhauer, John and Paul Hamilton.
