William (Bill) Beinborn, 85 of Boscobel died Tuesday, March 10, at Boscobel Gundersen Hospital after a long illness. 

Bill was born on July 1, 1929 to Herman and Anna (Elliott) Beinborn in Boscobel. He graduated from Boscobel High School. He married Orpha Kerschner on Aug. 24, 1949 at Immaculate Conception Church in Boscobel. They recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. 

For most of his working years he owned and operated Bill’s Dairy Service, doing home and wholesale of Borden’s Dairy products for 33 years. In 1987 built and operated Boscobel’s Dairy Queen until retirement in 2000. 

Bills favorite things in life were his family, family activities, athletic events, card playing, visiting and cheering on his Bulldogs, Packers, Badgers and Brewers. 

He served as church trustee at Immaculate Conception, and was on the Boscobel Park Board. 

He will be missed by all that knew him. Bill is survived by his wife Orpha; seven sons, Dean of Decorah, Iowa, Dick (Annie) of Prairie du Chien, David (Joni) of La Crosse, Dale (Ann) of La Crosse, Daniel (Susie) of Boscobel, Doug (Julie) of Byron, Minn., and Dwayne (Kari) of Holman; twenty grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; a sister Gertrude (Roger) St. Vincent of Elizabeth, Colo.; a brother Harold (Dorothy) Beinborn of Cuba City; a sister-in-law Betty Beinborn of Boscobel; and many nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles, Fred, Vern and Herman. 

A mass of Christian burial was held Saturday March 14, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Boscobel. Father Peter Auer officiated. Burial was in the Boscobel Cemetery.
