over Highland

The River Ridge girls came from behind in the second half again on Saturday to defeat visiting Highland in a Division 5 Regional final 46-27.

River Ridge led 7-6 following the first quarter but trailed at the half 15-14.

River Ridge took the third period 15-4 and the fourth 17-8 to earn the victory.

Roni Zinkle pumped in a game-high 14 points for River Ridge. Bridgette Myers scored 11 and Amber Patterson had 10.

River Ridge (21-4) will now travel to Mineral Point to face Barneveld on March 5 in sectional play.

past Fennimore

River Ridge rallied to defeat visiting Fennimore 34-28 in a Division 5 Regional in girls basketball Friday night.

Fennimore led 10-7 in the first period and 14-10 at the half.

River Ridge came back to take the third quarter 7-6 and the fourth 17-8 to earn the victory.

With the win, River Ridge advanced to face visiting Highland on Saturday in Regional action.

Amber Patterson scored a game-high 20 points to pace the Lady Timberwolves.
