Seneca wins R&V Crown

Seneca clinches R&V title

Seneca walloped visiting De Soto 70-33 to clinch the Ridge and Valley boys basketball crown Monday night. 

Seneca built a 23-14 lead after the first period and a 36-23 halftime advantage. 

Seneca took the second half 34-10 to breeze to victory. 

Nick Payne poured in a game-high 29 points to pace the Indians. Brady Fernette added 11.

Seneca improved to 12-1 in conference action to clinch the Ridge and Valley title. Seneca is now 18-3 on the season.

De Soto dropped to 5-8 in league play.
