Pickup truck goes into ditch

On Monday, Jan. 5 at 9:25 a.m., the Crawford County Dispatch Center was notified of a single vehicle accident on Highway 35, one mile north of Prairie du Chien.

Lance Mielke, 45, McGregor, was driving a 2004 Ford F350 pickup north on Highway 35.  His vehicle had gone onto the right shoulder. He steered left  then oversteered back right causing the pickup slide into the right ditch and come to rest on the passenger side.

Mielke was wearing his seat belt and escaped injury. His vehicle sustained moderate right side damage.
