Kathy Rosauer

 

Kathy A Kelly Rosauer, 58, of Prairie du Chien passed away Thursday, June 12, at the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, following a brief illness. 

She was born May 14, 1956 in Wabasha, Minn. the daughter of Arthur and Marvel (Meyer) Wagner. She married James Kelly on May 27, 1972, who preceded her in death on March 26, 1992. She later married Bernard Rosauer on April 20, 2002. Bernie also preceded Kathy in death on April 14, 2010. She worked for the Opportunity Center for many years and most recently for Miniature Precision Components in Prairie du Chien. Kathy loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping and fishing.

Elizabeth June Schwarzhoff - Berns

 

Elizabeth June Schwarzhoff-Berns, 94, of Prairie du Chien, died Saturday, May 31, at Prairie Maison in Prairie du Chien. 

She was born March 18, 1920, to Gephardt and Reva (Gilson) Meskimen in Waukon, Iowa. Elizabeth graduated from Waukon High School in 1938, and Beauty School in 1940.

Betty was united in marriage with Aloysius “Scoop” Schwarzhoff in January 1941, at St Patrick Catholic Church in Waukon, Iowa. He passed away Aug. 16, 1980. She later married Roland Berns in March of 1987, and he passed away in May of 2003.

She was born Nov. 27, 1930 in Chariton, Iowa the daughter of Clint and Stella (Steele) Foster.

Otis Duane Coleman, 66, Prairie du Chien, died Sunday, June 1, at his home in Prairie du Chien. 

He was born on Dec. 20, 1947 to John J. and Verona (Dilley) Coleman in Crawford County. Otis attended school through the eighth grade in Bridgeport.

Raymond J. Krachey

 

Raymond J. Krachey, 76, of Wauzeka passed away Friday, June 6, at his home surrounded by his family. 

He was born Jan. 4, 1938 in Wauzeka the son of Walter and Irma (Sutton) Krachey. He married Lucille Swatek on Oct. 18, 1958 at St. Wenceslaus Church in Eastman. She preceded him in death on Jan. 16, 2003. Ray farmed his entire life on the family farm in rural Wauzeka.

Jean Crubel

 

Jean Marie Crubel, 83, of Bloomington, passed away on Friday, June 6, at Prairie Maison in Prairie du Chien. 

She was born on Aug. 9, 1930, in Prairie du Chien, the daughter of Charles and Marie (Tesar) Draka. On Feb. 5, 1951, Jean married Gerald “Jerry” Crubel at St. John’s Catholic Church in Prairie du Chien. He preceded her in death on Nov. 28, 2000. Together they farmed near Bloomington for many years. Jean was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bloomington. She enjoyed reading, cooking, spending time with her family, friends, and especially all of her grandchildren.

Donald G. McCloskey

 

Donald G. McCloskey, 88, passed away on Thursday, May 15, at Agrace HospiceCare from cancer. 

He was born March 7, 1926, in Prairie du Chien, the son of Helen M. (Gunderson) and Clement E. McCloskey. Don married Irene W. (Hill) on April 10, 1950, and they shared 52 love-filled years until Irene’s death in Sept., 2002.

Margaret Schmidt, 91, of Overland Park, Kan., passed away Tuesday, May 13. Margaret was the wife of the late Walter C. Schmidt. Services were held May 17 at Peace Catholic Church.

Jerry P. "Blackie" Lessard

 

Jerry P. “Blackie” Lessard, beloved brother, father and grandfather, 64 of Prairie du Chien passed away peacefully Monday, May 26, at the Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.

He was born Jan. 2, 1950 in Prairie du Chien the son of George and Marie (Andrews) Lessard. Blackie worked for Farm Service Company in Prairie du Chien, but his real passion was fishing the Mississippi River, working as a commercial fisherman.
