Kevin David May

 

Kevin David May, 38, of Janesville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 16, at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital LaCrosse. 

He was born Dec. 6, 1976, in Prairie du Chien, to Patrick and Betty (Arnold) May. He was a 1995 graduate of Prairie du Chien High School.

Cathryn Ann Bouska Webster Vondrum

 

Cathryn Ann Bouska Webster Vondrum, 72, of Prairie du Chien passed away Wednesday, Dec. 17, at her home following an extended illness. 

She was born Sept. 19, 1942 in Prairie du Chien the daughter of Arnold and Agnes (Miller) Bouska. She attended St. John’s Grade School and later graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in Prairie du Chien in 1960. Cathy married Vern Webster in September of 1960. Vern preceded her in death in May of 2000. She later married Loren Vondrum in November of 2003. Her family and faith were very important to her. She enjoyed being with friends – coffee clutching and crafting. Cathy loved people and was loved back.

Mae P. Cox

 

Mae P. Cox, 90, of Prairie du Chien passed away Wednesday, Dec. 17, at the Prairie Maison Care Center. 

She was born Aug. 13, 1924 in Boscobel, the daughter of William and Nellie (Huffman) Radloff. She married Allen Cox on May 11, 1949 in Edgerton. He preceded her in death on July 8, 1968. Mae worked for Fairbanks and Morris Ordnance in Beloit, and later for Nunn Bush Shoes in Edgerton, retiring after 36 years.

Philip A. Polodna

 

Philip A. Polodna, 50, of North Prairie, died Dec. 11.

Philip was born Oct. 6, 1964 in Prairie du Chien, the son of Carrol and Helen (Stuckey) Polodna. He graduated from University of Wisconsin Platteville with a degree in engineering. Philip married Amy Helker on June 20, 1992 at Mark’s Lutheran Church in Waukesha.

Bruce William Howe

 

Bruce William Howe passed away on Monday, Dec. 8, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond, Va. 

He was born March 15, 1952 in Prairie du Chien, to William Howe and Bernice Benson Howe. He attended high school in Prairie du Chien and graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Oshkosh. He worked for the family newspaper in Prairie du Chien, as a teenager. After graduating college, he moved to Richmond, where worked as a salesman, and he later worked in the Richmond restaurant industry.

 William “Chris” L. Christianson, 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by his children and followed His Savior home on Sunday, Dec. 7. 

He was born on the Christianson family farm in Wauzeka, on April 16, 1927, the son of Henry and Margaret (Seely) Christianson.

Nancy Kay (George) Iverson

 

Nancy Kay (George) Iverson, 78 of Monroe, passed away at her daughter’s home on Saturday, Dec. 6. 

Nancy was born on Oct. 21, 1936 in Gays Mills, to Gordon and Ardell (Adair) George. She graduated from Gays Mills High School in 1954, U.W. LaCrosse in 1958, and received her Masters Degree in Education from U.W. Platteville in 1969. Nancy married Donald Iverson in January, 1959 in Soldiers Grove. She was a teacher for over 35 years in Oregon, Wis., Platteville, and Fernandina, Fla.

Frederick Leon Nottnagel

 

Frederick Leon Nottnagel, 70, of McGregor, Iowa passed away Thursday, Dec. 4, at the Strawberry Point Lutheran Home in Strawberry Point, Iowa. 

Fred was born on March 5, 1944, in McGregor, Iowa, the son of Fritz and Gladine Thelma (Meyer) Nottnagel. He attended school in Marquette, Iowa. He lived in Marquette until 1963 when he became a resident of the Clayton County Care Center in Elkader. 

Fred is survived by his sister, Darlene Cummings-Willadsen of West Union, Iowa and several nieces and nephews.

Bernice I. (May) Coorough, 94, of Janesville, formerly of Prairie du Chien, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 4, at her home in Janesville.
