Florence Foster

Florence I. Foster, 88, of Bloomington, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2021, at Sienna Crest Memory Care in Mineral Point. 

She was born March 5, 1933, the daughter of Lemuel and Laura (Colbert) Oates. Florence graduated from Patch Grove High School. She was united in marriage to James Hampton on Aug. 25, 1950, at the Patch Grove United Methodist Church. Together they farmed in Grant County. She worked at Bluff Haven Assisted Living in Prairie du Chien, waitressed and provided child care. Florence was a member of the Patch Grove United Methodist Church, and Royal Neighbors.

Judy K. Fisher

Judy K. Fisher, 74, of Knoxville, Ill., passed away Friday, Oct. 22, 2021. 

She was born in Mt. Sterling, on Dec. 9, 1946, the daughter of Milford and Judith (Grimsled) Payne. She graduated from Seneca High School in the class of 1964. Judy married Loyd Fisher on June 4, 1966, before moving to Knoxville, Ill., in 1974, where she worked in the school district for 29 years until retirement. She loved animals, particularly chickens. She also enjoyed gardening, quilting, and following the Green Bay Packers.

Shirley Jensen

Shirley Ruth Jensen, 96, of Marquette, Iowa, died peacefully Thursday, Oct. 14, 2021, at her home in Marquette, Iowa. Shirley was born on Dec. 21, 1924, to Archie and Ruth (Nelson) Campbell in Kenosha. She graduated from Bradford High School (Kenosha) in 1943. During WWII, Shirley worked in an aircraft factory and was a telephone operator. She played piano at the USO.
