Michael John Donahue, of Port Charlotte, Fla., formerly of Cuba City, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021, at the age of 92. Doc died peacefully with his beloved wife, Alberta Mae, at his side, supported by their children and grandchildren.
Terry J. Lang, 72, of Harpers Ferry, Iowa, passed away Thursday, Nov. 25, 2021, at Crossing Rivers Health in Prairie du Chien, after an extended illness.
Kevin W. Wilkinson, 61, of Prairie du Chien, was given back the freedom to be on the road again on Sunday, Nov. 21, 2021, at his home surrounded by family.
Jerry Weiss passed away at age 73, after a long battle with cancer. Jerry was born to Herbert and Charlotte (Gordon) Weiss, one of three children, where the Weiss family farmed in the West Union area. He graduated from high school in the McGregor school system. While in high school he met Phyllis Young and they became high school sweethearts. Through their union they were blessed with a son whom they named Jeffrey, but then Jerry received his draft notice to report for duty to Fort Sill, Oklahoma, home of the “BIG RED ONE” military base, for a two year tour of duty to Vietnam.During that time his son was born.
Charles (Charlie) John Mason was born in Fonda to Charles Joseph Mason and Cecilia O’Brien Mason on June 20, 1942. He was a gift to the world from the day he was born. At a young age, his family moved to Marquette, where he grew up enjoying nature and the love of family and friends. His strong work ethic was apparent from early on. One of his first jobs was shoveling snow ahead of a train as it passed through Buelah Falls in McGregor. Other jobs included an arborist for Wright Tree service and laborer at the McGregor elevator before he began his beloved profession of being a commercial fisherman. It became his passion and he fished for over 50 years on the Mississippi River.
