Annastasia C. Bentley

 

Annastasia C. Bentley, 88 of Westby, died Dec. 26.

Annastasia was born in Enterprise, Wis. on Dec. 25, 1926 to Henry and Barbara Seidl (Rank). In 1944 she married Ervin Bentley. They had then moved to the Chicago area in the early 1950’s and together they raised five children. They were married 63 years.

Annastasia worked at various occupations and enjoyed most being a homemaker. After Ervin retired they moved to the old Military Ridge School House near Patch Grove, which she always considered “home.”

Floyd A. Clark

 

A former Prairie du Chien business man Floyd A. Clark, 92, passed away Dec. 24, at the Palatka Health Care Center in Palatka, Fla.

He was born May 25, 1922, the son of David and Carrie Clark of Bagley. Floyd married Violet G. Yost on Oct. 14, 1942 in St. Louis, Mo. She preceded him in death on Jan. 1, 2014.

Annell M. Gratz

 

Annell M. Gratz, 70, of Patch Grove passed away Saturday, Dec. 27, at the Crossing Rivers Hospital after a brief illness. 

She was born Jan. 14, 1944 in Dubuque, Iowa the daughter of Arthur and Anna (Tittle) Pickett. She married Beauford Dilley on Dec. 10, 1962 in Dubuque and he later preceded her in death on Nov. 14, 1991. She later married Gerald Gratz on June 26, 1993. Annell retired from Rayovac in Fennimore, after 26 years of service.

David Howard Clarke

 

David Howard Clarke, 67, formerly from Waukon, Iowa died peacefully at his home in Mocksville, N.C. on Dec. 14. 

Brother Clarke served in the full time ministry for forty years throughout the central United States, and parts of the South.

He is survived by his wife Mary of Mocksville; his mother Clarice Olga Balk of Eastman; a brother James of Waukon; a brother Charlie of Ferryville; and a sister Susie of Eastman.

Mary Lois (Meyers) Mink

 

Mary Lois (Meyers) Mink, 84, of Prairie du Chien, formerly of Patch Grove, was given her angel wings on Saturday, Dec. 20, at the Prairie Maison Nursing Home.

Mary was born on May 23, 1930 in Underwood, N. D., to Henry and Iva (Hinch) Meyers. The family moved to Beetown in 1937.

Kevin David May, 38, of Janesville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 16, at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital LaCrosse. 

He was born Dec. 6, 1976, in Prairie du Chien, to Patrick and Betty (Arnold) May. He was a 1995 graduate of Prairie du Chien High School.

Cathryn Ann Bouska Webster Vondrum

 

Cathryn Ann Bouska Webster Vondrum, 72, of Prairie du Chien passed away Wednesday, Dec. 17, at her home following an extended illness. 

She was born Sept. 19, 1942 in Prairie du Chien the daughter of Arnold and Agnes (Miller) Bouska. She attended St. John’s Grade School and later graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in Prairie du Chien in 1960. Cathy married Vern Webster in September of 1960. Vern preceded her in death in May of 2000. She later married Loren Vondrum in November of 2003. Her family and faith were very important to her. She enjoyed being with friends – coffee clutching and crafting. Cathy loved people and was loved back.

Mae P. Cox

 

Mae P. Cox, 90, of Prairie du Chien passed away Wednesday, Dec. 17, at the Prairie Maison Care Center. 

She was born Aug. 13, 1924 in Boscobel, the daughter of William and Nellie (Huffman) Radloff. She married Allen Cox on May 11, 1949 in Edgerton. He preceded her in death on July 8, 1968. Mae worked for Fairbanks and Morris Ordnance in Beloit, and later for Nunn Bush Shoes in Edgerton, retiring after 36 years.

Philip A. Polodna

 

Philip A. Polodna, 50, of North Prairie, died Dec. 11.

Philip was born Oct. 6, 1964 in Prairie du Chien, the son of Carrol and Helen (Stuckey) Polodna. He graduated from University of Wisconsin Platteville with a degree in engineering. Philip married Amy Helker on June 20, 1992 at Mark’s Lutheran Church in Waukesha.
