Lorrene Caldwell

 

Lorrene C. Caldwell, 92, of Wauzeka passed away Wednesday, Dec. 11, at the Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital. 

She was born April 26, 1921 in Reinbeck, Iowa, the daughter of Christian and Christine (Ramondt) Lorenz. She married Clarence Caldwell on Dec. 31, 1947 and he later preceded her in death on Dec. 27, 1989. She worked at Chamberlain Ordnance Inc. in Waterloo, Iowa for many years before moving to Wauzeka.

Imogene Mardauss

 

Imogene Matilda (Weighner) Mardauss, 86, passed away Monday, Dec. 9, at Tender Care of Clare, Mich.

Imogene was born Sept. 29, 1927 in Prairie du Chien, to Melvin and Elda Weighner. She attended Prairie du Chien High School and graduated in 1942. She was married to George Mardauss June 12, 1947 in Prairie du Chien and he preceded her in death on Aug. 10, 1997. Mrs. Mardauss was Lutheran and was a past member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Richard Kilburg

 

 Richard R. “Dick” Kilburg, 79, of Eastman passed away Monday, Dec. 9, at the Prairie Maison Care Center in Prairie du Chien. 

He was born April 15, 1934 in Wauzeka, the son of Alfred and Irene (Schmidt) Kilburg. He served in the U.S. Army and later returned to work on the family farm. Dick was active in the American Legion and did some logging.

John L. Koresh, 88 of Floyd, Iowa, formerly of Prairie du Chien, passed away Thursday, Dec. 5, at the Nora Springs Care Center in Nora Springs, Iowa, surrounded by his family. 

John was born on Dec. 14, 1924, in Prairie du Chien to John and Sophie (Pintz) Koresh, and was the last living of eleven children.

Margaret Nimbar

 

Margaret Mae Nimbar, 90, formerly of Prairie du Chien passed away Saturday, Nov. 30, at the Benedictine Manor in La Crosse. 

She was born May 13, 1923 in Butler S.D., the daughter of Alvro and Vella (Parrot) Klebe. Her family later relocated to Aberdeen S.D. where she was a graduate of Aberdeen Central High School in 1942. She married Mervin E. Nimbar on Jan. 16, 1946 in Aberdeen, S.D.  She served as “Pink Lady” at St. Luke’s Hospital of Aberdeen, S.D. She later worked for the Army Civilian Corps as a “WOW” Women Ordinance Worker and from 1944 to 1946 for the Milwaukee Road Railroad.

Glen Myers

 

 Glen J. Myers, 82, passed away Sunday, Dec. 1, at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster. 

He was born Aug. 2, 1931 in Beetown Township, the son of Russell and Catherine (Neis) Myers. Glen graduated Bloomington High School in 1949. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1951, and served for four years. Glen married Margaret A. O’Connor on Nov. 3, 1954 and together they farmed in Bloomington Township. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and American Legion Post #5 of Patch Grove.
