Roger S. Goodell

 

Roger S. Goodell, 64, of rural Ferryville passed away Oct. 11, following a boating accident on, below Lock and Dam No. 9. 

Roger was born May 3, 1950 at his home in Danbury. His parents were Harry A. (Pete) and Dorothy (Tourville) Goodell. Roger had three previous marriages, Roseanne Baker, Monica (last name unknown), and Diana Traxler.

Kenneth D. Tichenor

 

Kenneth D. Tichenor, 82, of Prairie du Chien passed away Sunday, Oct. 26, at the Crossing Rivers Hospital in Prairie du Chien. 

He was born Dec. 7, 1931 in Prairie du Chien the son of Austin and Marie (Valley) Tichenor. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Phyllis Kirschbaum on Sept. 10, 1955 at St. John’s Church in Patch Grove. Ken retired from 3M Company in Prairie du Chien after 27 years of service. He was an avid hunter, trapper and fisherman and enjoyed gambling.

Dennis D. Carden, 74, of McGregor and formerly of Mt. Horeb, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 21. A Memorial Mass of Resurrection will be Saturday, Nov. 8, at 11 a.m. at St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church in Barneveld. A Celebration of Dennis’ Life will be Sunday, Nov. 9, at the Barneveld American Legion beginning at 12 p.m.

Donald F. Marfilius of Stanwood, Mich., formerly of Prairie du Chien, passed away Oct. 8. Services were held Oct. 14, at St. Michael Catholic Church. Hansen Janowicz Funeral Home of Remus, Mich. was in charge of arrangements.

Dale E. Boldt

 

Dale E. Boldt, 83, of Prairie du Chien passed away Monday, Oct. 20, at the Crossing Rivers Hospital in Prairie du Chien. 

She was born Feb. 18, 1931 in Prairie du Chien the daughter of George and Emily (Bauer) McClure. She married Darol “Rusty” Boldt on Feb. 16, 1952 at St. Gabriel’s Church in Prairie du Chien. She worked in the Prairie du Chien school district for twenty five years, served her community as a city alder person for thirteen years and was an active member of St. Gabriel’s Church. She was also very proud of her Irish heritage and her membership in the democratic party. Dale and Rusty enjoyed serving as past St. Patrick’s Day parade royalty.

Aaron Long

 

Aaron M. Long, 39, of Prairie du Chien, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, Oct. 19, at the Crossing Rivers Hospital. 

He was born Nov. 14, 1974 in Prairie du Chien the son of Clato and Phyllis (Groom) Long Jr. He married Michelle Hedstrom Aug. 14, 2004 at the United Methodist Church in Prairie du Chien. He was an avid sports fan who loved hunting and fishing. Aaron worked for a number of years at McGregor Loudspeaker and was a member of the Eagles Club Aerie 1502.

Scott Lamphiear

 

Scott Lamphiear, 50, of Rainy River, Ontario, Canada passed away Aug. 6 from complications of Multiple Sclerosis. A celebration of life will be held at Thunderbird Lanes in Baraboo on Sunday, Oct. 19 from 2 to 6 pm. Parents Lynn Lamphiear of Baraboo, Harry  and Sandy Hopkins of Bagley and Scott and Kelli (Lamphiear) Hagan of California will be in attendance.
