D. Mark Lochner

 

D. Mark Lochner, MD, 67, of Waupaca, loving husband to Catherine (Thomas) Lochner and amazing father to his five children, died peacefully after a courageous four year battle with ALS on Monday, Feb. 10, in his home, surrounded by his family.

He was born on Nov. 15, 1946 in Prairie du Chien, son of Donald and Norma (Saunders) Lochner, the second eldest of twelve children. He graduated from Campion Jesuit High School in 1964. He attended Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, graduating in 1968. He went on to attend the University of Wisconsin - Madison School of Medicine followed by a three year residency in Family Medicine, also in Madison.

Kent Thomas Foley, 31, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 6, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester from complications due to DuChenne Muscular Dystrophy.

Kent was born April 24, 1982 in Rochester, Minn. to Steve and Cheryl (McManamy) Foley.

Florence Evelyn Ross

 

Florence Evelyn Ross, 62, of Freeport, Ill., died Feb. 3, after a series of illnesses. 

Evelyn Ross is the daughter of Robert Horsfall and Florence Crachey and the loving mother of Darren and Anita Ross. Evelyn worked in finance and accounting until her retirement. She loved her family, the outdoors and playing with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter Anita; son Darren and canine companions Romeo and Buddy. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, living in Illinois and New York.

Nedra Sinram

 

Nedra Jean Sinram, 85, Prairie du Chien, formerly of Monona, Iowa, and Nashua, Iowa died Monday, Jan. 20, at the Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital in Prairie du Chien. 

She was born June 30, 1928 to Edwin and Bernice (Schultz) Brunner in Roseville, Iowa.  Nedra graduated from Greene High School in Greene, Iowa.

Ken Borne

 

Ken Borne, 83, passed peacefully Jan. 21, in Bradenton, Fla. 

He was born Feb. 11, 1930 in Prairie du Chien, the second son of five children to Harry and Marilla (Kahler) Borne. In his early years, he competed in sports at Prairie High with his brothers Harry and Bob, achieving many awards in various sports. He spoke proudly of his athletic achievements in his youth.

Ken married Betty Jean Rodenkirch, of Prairie du Chien on April 28, 1951, at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church. Their enduring love carried them through the next 63 years.

Eileen Kathryn Rogers, 74, formerly of Mt. Vernon, and a resident of the Great River Care Center, McGregor, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 14, after a long and courageous battle with Lewy Body Disease. Services were held in Mt. Vernon Saturday, Jan. 18.

Debra Jean Gucciardo, 59 , Wauzeka passed away Oct. 17, 2013. A memorial service will be held Jan. 25 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wauzeka. Visitation we be at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. A lunch will follow at the family home. All are welcome.

Paul Dohse

 

Paul R. Dohse, 60, of McGregor passed away Thursday, Jan. 16, at the Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital. 

He was born March 8, 1953 in Prairie du Chien, the son of Carl and Frances (Goite) Dohse. He married Kari Corlett on May 18, 1991 at Pikes Peak in McGregor. Paul worked as a chef for many area restaurants including; The Red Cedar, The Barn and Captain’s Reef. He and Kari owned and operated the Heidelburg Restaurant in Luana, Iowa also. He was an avid Packer and Brewer fan.
