Dave and Carol Swiggum, of Prairie du Chien, have a Christmas village that takes up half their living room. It includes 140 buildings, and Dave knows it’s that many because he recently replaced all the old lighting with LED lighting.
In addition to the village that seems to never end, the Swiggums have lots of little villagers, workers, animals and other accessory pieces to accompany the buildings. (Photos by Correne Martin)
Barbara Ann Stewart Wackershauser, 89, of Platteville, passed away gracefully on Tuesday Dec. 7, 2021 at Edenbrook Nursing Home in Platteville. Larry Dean Dettbarn, 77, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 2021, at Gunderson Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, surrounded by his loving family. Larry was a kind loving father and friend, and will be deeply missed. He was known for his sense of humor and loved to play pranks on everyone.
