Larry Honzel (June 23, 1938-August 19, 2023)

Deacon Larry Honzel, 85, of Geneseo went to be with his Lord and Savior on Aug. 19, 2023 from Hillcrest Home, Geneseo.  Funeral Mass was held at 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 26 at St. Malachy’s Catholic Church, Geneseo. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo.  Memorials may be made to St. Malachy’s Catholic Church, Geneseo Food Pantry, St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital or Hillcrest Home.  Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services has assisted the family and online condolences may be left in Larry’s obituary on www.stackousemoore.com.

Elsie Downing October 3, 1926-August 18, 2023

Elsie Katherine Downing, 96 of Prairie du Chien, WI, passed away peacefully after a short illness on Aug. 18, 2023 at Crossing Rivers Hospital in Prairie du Chien, WI.  She was born Oct. 3, 1926 to Joseph and Katherine (Vollman) Panka in Eastman Township. Elsie was united in marriage with Francis Wilford Downing on June 7, 1952 at St. Gabriels Catholic Church in Prairie du Chien, WI.
