Prairie harriers at subsectional meet, Katzung advances to sectional

On a cool brisk day of 37 degrees in Westby, there have been many weeks of training and it all comes down to today. As the parents and spectators gathered around the course, the girls were ready for the start. To set my watch, know my limits, and know my strengths, Meg Katzung finished the day in 5th place to advance to Sectionals with a 20:29. As the miles pass me by, I run with everything I have inside me as Josie Kramer finished the day in 16th place with a 22:32 and just missing her career “PR” by 1 second. As the sound of my feet hit the hard cold ground, I found my rhythm as Ella Hager finished in 21st with a hard fought 22:45 on the day.
