Five MFL MarMac volleyball players receive all-conference honors
Five MFL MarMac volleyball players have earned Upper Iowa all-conference honors. Seniors Brinan Berger and Bailey Winter were both named to the first team and sophomore Riley Moreland to the second team, while seniors Rachel Davis and RoseMary McGeough each received honorable mention nods.
Berger, who was the only unanimous selection, was third in the conference and first among the Bulldogs in digs, with 343. She also racked up 179 kills, putting her among the conference leaders. Berger completed .889 percent of her serves and smacked 32 aces.
Winter was one of the conference and team leaders in several different categories. Her 62 total blocks put her second in the Upper Iowa, and she was fifth with 183 kills and ninth with 239 digs. She also boasted a .916 serve efficiency and had 34 aces.
The Bulldogs had another of the league’s top blockers in Moreland, who earned 54 on the season. Her 302 assists were best on the team and sixth-best in the conference. She also had 149 kills and 168 digs.
Davis was one of MFL MarMac’s top servers, with a .989 efficiency percentage and 19 aces. She earned 193 assists, 182 digs and 72 kills.
McGeough’s season stat line included 122 digs, 31 blocks and 40 kills. She had a .980 serve efficiency.
