John R. Walker, 70, of Eastman, passed away at Divine Rehab and Nursing in Fennimore, on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2019.

John was born on Oct. 3, 1949, to Charles and Anna (Mara) Walker.

He was always ready with a smile and a joke. John loved playing pool and watching videos to improve his game and loved watching the live cattle auctions online. He was an avid watcher of the RFD channel, always watching tractor auctions, farming shows, and the trains rambling through the countryside. John developed a wonderful relationship with his hospice team from Crossing Rivers Health; they all were so wonderful, and he appreciated all the help they provided. He also developed great relationships with his team at Divine Rehab and Nursing Fennimore. Thank you all for his wonderful care.

John is survived by his brothers, Donald (Mary) Walker, and Ronald Walker, both from Wauzeka; his sisters, Ange Walker, Charlene (John) Adler, and Marolyn (Phillip) Scott, all of Texas; and various nieces and nephews around the country.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charlie (Joyce) Walker of Eastman, Joe (Susie) Walker of Lynn Haven, Fla. and Robert of Wauzeka; his sister, Marge (Jerry) Schmidt; his brothers-in-law, Jerry Schmidt and Robert Slama; and three nieces; and one nephew.

John, we love you and you will be sorely missed.

There will be a private family Celebration of Life at a later date.

Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Prairie du Chien, is helping the family with arrangements
